The Writers' Room #13
Register on Luma
A writing community for Bengaluru writers to create, connect, and grow together.
From the room
A focused room for fiction., journals., essays., poetry., blogs., newsletters., research., your next draft.
For the newsletter you keep postponing, the essay that needs one more pass, the novel in your drawer.
The Writers’ Room is a recurring, collaborative space for writers in Bengaluru. Once a month, we meet for quiet co-working, each of us carrying our own writing tools, to write together, share work, and build the kind of steady community that makes the writing life less lonely.

This is a special edition for the Bengaluru Tech Week, and will focus on technology-related themes. Writers will be expected to work on technical pieces, which may include blogs, docs, books, research, etc.

Read ↗★ Featured BlogThis blog covers my reflections on legacy, sparked by astronaut Christina Koch saying she hoped people would forget all about the Artemis II mission. I explore how my view of legacy shifted from something I felt pressure to build into something I now see as the consequence of pursuing a purpose rather than the goal itself, using examples like Newton's Principia and Steve Wozniak's Apple computers. Drawing on Camus's The Myth of Sisyphus, I argue that even though the universe won't preserve our names and our footsteps will fade from the sand, the act of pushing forward with purpose is what makes life a glorious burden worth carrying.
